The intent for this Shamanic Journey was to retrieve a Power Animal for a young lady I had recently met at work. It was late and I was tired so I asked my Power Animal to help the message come quickly and clearly – and it certainly did! Before we even entered the portal to the Lower World a flash of the animal came to mind, dismissing it I descended and again it flashed before my mind’s eye. Other animals were around, but they all seemed to be crawling, slithering, bounding etc away from us. I had been told if you see an animal three times on this type of journey it is the one. Well again it came before me, this time large and clear. It was a Bald Eagle, just to help be sure it wasn’t my own ego insisting on this animal, I asked it if it was indeed her Power Animal. Instead of answering as they sometimes do, it simply cocked it’s head to one side like a bird would and opened it’s wings – larger than a human, this bird was – it enveloped me and up it flew with a “little me” in it’s talons. Off to her house we flew and it perched outside her bedroom window to peck at the glass. There the woman lay sleeping in her bed. The window opened and this bird (now more realistically sized) hopped onto her chest. It was then that I held out the quartz crystal and asked if it would come into it and back with me to Ordinary Reality to help this lady. Zzzzip! Off it flew into the crystal to await transfer. Just like that! So quick. So easy.
I ended up not being able to meet again in person with the woman I had retrieved for, and wouldn’t be able to for another week or more. I ended up going on another journey where I camayed the Spirit of Eagle in the appropriate manner, and performed the rest of the ritual via long distance.
