Seeds of Manifestation Gemstone Elixir ~ Winter Solstice & Total Lunar Eclipse

Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year ~ always a good time to set intentions, plant the seeds of manifestation to germinate in the dark, holding focus as they sprout with the returning light and come to full bloom. Listing & Sifting; what is to let go of, what is to die with the old passing in the darkness and what is to bring into being, birthing in the light.

This solstice, of all the solstices, holds extra energy to lend support to our seeds of growth and change. Amplifying the vibration of this time is not just a Full Moon, but a ‘Super Moon’. It’s at its fullest while orbiting it’s closest to the Earth. It’s the longest night of the year, the first of Winter, with a full moon as close and bright as can be. But that is not all… mere hours before the ‘official’ point of solstice a total Lunar Eclipse. A concentrating, amplifying, awe inspiring event in itself. Place yourself back before technology, before weather forecasts, city lights, cell phones, to a time where all women bled the same days and in synchronicity with this powerful Moon, shining bright and in full glory ~ casting us from this darkest of times ~ and then it is blotted out by the Earth’s shadow and takes on a magnificent RED hue. We are now in the darkest of dark. The ultimate womb. A place of quiet growth. The still darkness before emerging into the light.

The Moon, the Earth, and the Sun in total alignment on the longest night of the year. And it’s pointing to the place within the Milky Way the Mayan’s believed marked the source of all Creation. Phewf!! That is the recipe for one powerful night. So I made a powerful elixir. It is intended for use while doing manifestation work, while setting strong intentions, planting and germinating new seeds for your life. You can take it as needed during ceremony or over time. It is best if you can embody the peaceful joy of being ‘in right relation’ while visualizing, meditating, journeying, collage making, singing or writing about the seeds you are planting with this work. Find a way that clarifies yet leaves room for the Universe to co-conspire with you. If you are not feeling in a balanced, easy hearted way, wait until you do. This gemstone elixir was poured during the actual eclipse and set under a special alder tree where the moon’s returning light energy would infuse it.

This elixir was lovingly made with:

~ Moonstone: for its Lunar connections, but it also carries a soft tender vibration facilitating inner peace & security. This gemstone also balance and promotes all rhythms of the body while supporting flexibility and flow in life. It is lovely for inspiring new beginnings, and for supporting wishes.

~ Moss Agate: represents the Earth with its strong connection to Nature. It has a stabilizing affect and is said to refresh one’s soul with feelings of freedom and expansion. Moss Agate is a gemstone of new beginnings and abundance.

~ Citrine: for the Sun which on Solstice seems to ‘stand still’ then makes it’s return. The Sun also plays an integral part with regard to the Eclipse. Citrine brings happiness, joy and optimism. It offers courage & self discipline, supports getting tasks done & matters settled. Great for uplifting mood and brings abundance, good fortune & feelings of generosity. Helpful with healing emotional trauma, sleep disturbances, and addictions.

~ Rainbow Obsidian: representing the darkness of Winter Solstice and of the Eclipse. This gemstone clears the emotional body of any lingering patterns of emotional trauma. It is a grounding stone that brings hope, alleviates stress and facilitates a view of the big picture.

~ Rose Quartz: the self in this equation, with pure support for our Hearts. It supports with unconditional love, a very soothing and happy stone. It comforts and heals any wounds the heart has accumulated & dissolves stored energy from trauma. The Soul sighs with relief when it senses Rose Quartz energy as it intuitively knows healing has come with gentleness, forgiveness, compassion, kindness and tolerance.

Due to a Mercury Retrograde and Mars activity, looking inward, finishing off projects or situations before moving on, communication and how we relate to others was a focus this month, important supports to the intention of this elixir.

Seeds planted in the Darkest of Dark ~ Winter Solstice ~

This most auspicious night, Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year ~ always a good time to set intentions, plant the seeds of manifestation to germinate in the dark, holding focus as they sprout with the returning light and come to full bloom. Sometimes done with a passing wish and a candle, sometimes written and burned in sacred fire, sometimes listed & sifted; what is to let go of, what is to die with the old passing in the darkness and what is to bring into being, birthing in the light.

This solstice, of all the solstices, holds extra energy to lend support. Great change is afoot. Some even say THIS is the solstice the Mayans were speaking of (and we simply have poor translation & time keeping skills) I know not of this with any certainty, but I do know this ~ there is a full Moon tonight, a ‘Super Moon’ in fact. It’s at it’s fullest while orbiting it’s closest to the Earth. Yes, we all know the power of the Moon, pulling the Ocean’s tides, making crowds perhaps a little squirrely with energy, and before electric lighting; keeping all the women’s cycles in sync with the rhythms of nature, the time of month many wishes are made and time kept by ~ so amplify this. It’s the longest night of the year, the first of Winter, with a full moon as close as can be. But that is not all… mere hours before the ‘official’ point of solstice a total Lunar Eclipse. A concentrating, amplifying, awe inspiring event in itself. Place yourself back before technology, before weather forecasts, city lights, cell phones ~ to the dark cold night ~ with our familiar beacon of light, in full glory casting us from this darkest of times - the only light save from the stars – is blotted out by the Earth’s shadow and takes on a magnificent RED hue. Today many members of my family, friends & community, alongside over a 1,100 others, partook in a beautiful healing ceremony for the Earth by infusing crystals with love, healing, and joy ~ many tossed theirs into waterways to flow & connect around the globe, others buried them deep into the soil to spread like roots of a tree. Since yesterday I had skin tingling tangible excited Solstice energy ~ filled with inner joy and zest for life. I ran with it, setting intentions specific as well as by embodying these feelings I wish to carry within me, both in Ordinary Reality as well as within a journey. I created a Gem Elixir during the actual eclipse and tonight journeyed for additional guidance, journeyed for a Shaman Woman friend of mine ~ gathering wisdom to pass on to her, journeyed for a prayer to bestow on another shamanic friend, drummed & sang much to reverberate through the air. And now my living room lights don’t work! How fun it is!

Ancestral Healing Samhain Elixir

On Samhain night (pronounced sow-in) it is said the veil between the worlds is at it’s thinnest. That mysterious cloak separating the realm of our deceased from the realm of our living. Many cultures subscribe to this thought, from pre-Celtic peoples to modern Mexican. This dark time of the year is closely connected with the Crone, or Wise Old Woman, and marks the beginning of the end in the yearly cycle. On this night, more commonly known as Halloween, and within three days of the Full Moon, I created a gemstone elixir intended for working with our Ancestors. Specifically for healing work. This work may be taken on with intention and ceremony, or through Shamanic processes; journeys, curse unravelling, negative core belief repair, or even before meditation and opening your heart to communication; thereby facilitating conflict resolution or ‘saying what was left unsaid’. Perhaps you have other methods at hand in your healing basket. Simply take 3 drops under your tongue before you begin and periodically as you are called to during this healing work. Get creative, you could add a few drops to a preparatory bath, anoint candles, tools, objects or yourself, mist your sacred space or even as an offering.

    This Ancestral Healing Elixir was lovingly prepared with:

‘Loving Storm’ Gemstone Elixir of Change

Full Moon in Aries: Decisive, forceful, a high-strung and controlling Moon, as well as being spontaneous, energetic, and honest. It suggests an aggressive attitude, quick temper, impulsiveness and brutally direct behaviour, acting with emotion rather than reason, restless and risk-taking.

Mars squares Neptune: lends ability to dissolve old angers and pains. To ”bury the hatchet.” An opportunity to let go of violence or tension caused by differences, and empower those who once felt like victims, a shadow side of Neptune.

Sun: Created on the Full Moon, empowered overnight & bottled on the day the Sun shifted zodiacal signs – from airy Libra to watery Scorpio. Therefore, latent in the “loving Storm” elixir is the need to complete old business on a high note.

Emotional Charge: During the day of this elixir creation I went through the gamut of healthy emotions related to big stormy change. As the external world heated up I was able to fully embrace Trust and Calm instead of fear, then a short lived & appropriate shake to my core as ‘lightning struck’, followed by an easy regaining of Centeredness and Faith in the process of allowing the Highest Good to manifest as the Universe intends it. A positive internal change had solidified while the external realm makes the big shift for the better.

Ultimate Balance Gemstone Elixir

While the creation process began on the International Day of Peace, this elixir was infused & bottled during the auspicious “Super” Harvest Moon of 2010. The rare conjunction of a Full Moon during the Autumn Equinox added Feminine strength to the balance and equality of night and day, rising into the Eastern sky while the Masculine Sun set over the West. It was a beautiful moment on the Ocean witnessing this ultimate point of balance. The Intention during creation of the Ultimate Balance Elixir was more than just a balancing of energies, but also mood support during the transition into the dark womb incubation period of the year. The turning of the wheel from the outgoing time of the Big Sun to the internal Little Sun can be a rough time if one is not prepared and fortified.

Light of the Earth

There is a wee path, a shortcut I take on my way to town. A brief interlude of semi secret vegetation.
I revel in the grounded earthy feeling of my footsteps on soil, stepping carefully over exposed roots and using jutting rocks as support against the steep slope.
This path opens out to a view high over a well treed neighbourhood and clear on toward layers of an inlet, more land, then the ocean, and still further on to a far away mountainous island faint against the sky where the sun often sets with the most glorious splendor. The sky ~ big, blue & bright, hung close with thick fog, or fast blowing low hanging clouds covering the towering mountain tops that bank this place. It’s always so beautiful. It always feels so good, right here, on this precipice partway down the mountain.

I stand here. At this opening. Compelled to stop & feel. To notice. To connect.

Behind me looms the trees of the hill, close against my back. Before me, this beautiful view. A magical place before I move into the bustle of cars & people.
Here, my eyes take in the gifts. Here my body brings in delight and fills up with it. Here my Soul connects to the Sidhe, the Fae, the Spirit of Earth Light. It’s a tangible & almost visible perception. Like little tingly sparkles rising up and around, rejoicing, laughing, dancing. There always seems to be bird song in the air ~ if you listen. There is much unseen here ~ if you pause to notice.

I leave offerings tucked under the Salal. Offerings to those who hold this space sacred while the odd pedestrian passes through. Blessed to be a part of this dance. Blessed to share the bounty of the elements, the directions, the Spirit of this place.

Healing for Our Beloved Ocean

This morning I enjoyed a fifteen minute boat ride supported by our beloved Ocean. On my mind was a recent connection of shared sentiments with a local Shaman regarding the healing of our Oceans ~ particularly in lieu of BP’s tragedy/gift of awareness. It’s easier for us all to do what we are able from a  place of positivity, a place of gratitude and of love, and today I dedicated my 15 minutes to this.
I carry on my person the ability to listen to Sandra Ingerman’s Drumming so I may quickly tune out the din of public places and engage in shamanic journey ~ and this was my experience:

I met with my Power Animal and together we traveled to the Lower World and along the trail to a hut in a forest where a particular Healing Spirit dwells. This Spirit takes the form of a glowing white being of light, floating, merging & permeating with ‘ghost like’ quality. The three of us came to where I sat, here in the Middle World, traveling over the waters. The Healing Spirit dipped into the Ocean and became one with it, filling it with a beautiful radiant light. I began to channel Reiki through my body and into this vast, supporting, living entity of salted water, sending prayers of love & gratitude not just with thoughts but flowing with my entire being.
The light of the Ocean began to pulse with the beat of a human heart, a dolphin leaped into the air with bliss, two seals spun together like a double helix of light, all of the life contained within these waters was filled with zesty life happiness.  The Guardian of the West rose up out of the depths with arms raised in blessing. Love grew even stronger within me and I saw myself as I was last week, immersed in these waters, reveling in their healing power.  A connecting sense of the salt within my body and of material life within the ocean, along with the steady heartbeat of healing light in time with my own ~ and I was transformed into shapeless spirit merged with the current. A strong purposeful current pulled by the powerful Mother Moon. Connected and one with the ocean, with the light, love and teeming full with life. I felt this stretch further than could be seen, embracing all of the seas, not just the area I was in. As I gathered back my form, the Ocean itself blessed me with an audiatory “Thank You” ~ sentiments which I of course reciprocated! Back into my body submerged in the water, then returning to my present body in ‘ordinary reality’ where the Healing Spirit, and my Power Animal met to retrace our steps back to the hut and then to the portal out of the Lower World. Much joy and gratitude was shared at each parting.

The shudder of the boat signaled we were near the dock as I rubbed my hands together, wriggled my toes and opened my eyes. I think anyone noticing would have thought me blissfully dosing to music that ride :)

This was such a beautiful journey I thought to share it with you all. I hope it brings a reminder of how easy it is to take a few minutes to send love, healing & gratitude in your own way to the bounty around us.

I am coming into the necessary motivation to begin my Blog all over again from scratch. It’s a long, yet very short, story of technical proportions. Unintentional Deletion has it’s many disguised benefits. A shiny new WordPress version and all new energy to your screen via cyberspace are some of them. I did mourn the loss   …sniff…
but I’m done now :)
I will try to find bits of the previously posted blog enteries when I can posting with their original timestamp when possible (hence a Welcome long after the ‘first’ post). It will take me time to work back up to a nice body of reading, but I promise it will be full of energetic & spiritual stories from my personal and public practises along with any other juicey tid bits I can share, links to fabulous people, beautiful photos, inspiring and sacred messages….

All of this helps tie together some of my other creative outlets as well as letting my friends, clients, and circles of community easily glean insights into what I do and who I am. To share and connect with others who travel similar paths, and maybe even to inform & inspire the healer that certainly lies within you.

Brigid’s Blessing

I’m posting this online shortly after the Lunar Imbolc and have been intending to since Imbolc at the begining of February. This is my favorite housewarming gift to give. I’ve done two of this scene and many more of others.

I had gifted the other one similar to this, about 4 years ago. The first days of February I felt many indications Bridgid was with me, I connected with her, felt her presence and experienced a few fortuitious events associated with her hallmarks. Said to have fond support for children, midwives, artists, poets, & dairy maids, bringing gifts of herbal & natural medicine and smithcraft, strongly connected with fire, rebirth & healing. Long long ago I began my attraction to her energy. On this day of Imbolc, this painting unexpectadly came back to me, and was for me to keep! I have hung it on a prominant wall near my hearth, a wonderful reminder of Goddess presence, Helping Spirits and with it’s sweet message of Blessing. A gift from myself years ago.

Creation Story

Gold Dust & Acrylic Painting

The Light and Love that is the Divine, shone beautifully bright, so full of joy that she began to giggle and laugh. Little jiggles of her essence bubbled up out of her mouth creating formless beings of Light.

To orbit them in the vast, blanketing, womb of dark void, the Creatrix sang forth the Earth, Moon & Stars to wich they could fixate, enjoy, and wonder at beauty.

These souls would visit Earth to take in her glory more fully. The Creatrix gave form to her Light Beings to contain their Divine Essence. This form gave them senses to experience and immerse in. While this was beautiful, the material forms created an illusion seperating the connection with the Source Mother. It took many by surprise. Some forgot and some were lost for their Earth time, seperated, feeling alone, scared and very sad. Inundated by their senses picking up that wich was not of joy and laughter.

A little game began to be played by these Earth Angels – to see past the illusion, to find and connect the Divine Spark within to the Divine in All, strengthaning the bond to the Eternal Source while contained n Earthbound bodies. Again and again they return to learn the joy of growing Love, Light & Laughter, expanding their Divine Essence to feel the familiar connection that is home.

Around us all the Mountains will still make love to the Sky, the Moon caress the Sea and the Stars will kiss our Heart’s Grace. The dance continues, the game is played and the Love Mother laughs her singing light children into being.
